Tangerang, May 14, 23 - The day after celebrating Eid al-Fitr, the National Monument was enlivened by tourists. Affordable ticket prices and its location in the city center make Monas as a holiday destination for the Eid season by the people of Jakarta and its surroundings.

 

To welcome the enthusiasm of the visitors, the Monas manager presents an exciting show, namely video mapping and a dancing fountain show. This performance will be presented in the Monas Week series of events which will take place from 23-30 April 2023.

 

"Monas Week is part of DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's efforts to promote tourism and the creative economy. Moreover, during the Eid holiday, many tourists from outside the area visited Monas," said the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Province Heru Budi Hartono when opening the event on Sunday (24/4) evening.

On this occasion, Heru also advised visitors to always maintain cleanliness and safety. "Enjoy Monas and keep it clean. For residents who bring children to be cared for and be guarded. Enjoy various entertainments at Monas," Heru added.

 

Unfortunately, apparently people's awareness to maintain cleanliness is still low. This can be seen from the amount of trash scattered around Monas Park and the food court area. Even though trash bins have been provided in various corners of the Monas, most visitors just leave their trash in any place.

 

Monas visitors will be able to enjoy the vacation more comfortably if they maintain the environmental conditions.
